SPOTLIGHT ON LANGDON CATTLE COMPANY STRAIGHT BUTLER DAMS!!







Pictured above are 5 of the premier Straight Butler dams from MLA Lifetime member Charlie Henaman's Langdon Cattle Company of rural Hartley, Iowa(NW). (Top pic) Special K Mascara Butler BD-4/27/03 sired by Mr Little Bighorn out of Valentine Butler by the sire Don Juan's Easy Money. Mascara raises calves with big horn bases and good confirmation. She has thrown both red and white and black and white calves, is extremly gently and halterbroke and is Charlie's favorite cow. (2nd pic from top) Jackie Lynn 2310 BD-2/16/93 sired by the bull Ten's Rounder out of the cow Jackie Lynn 1/451. Raises keeper calves every year--Charlie has kept all her heifers and a couple of her bulls in the herd. (3rd pic from top) Lady Meshell 614 BD-6/12/00 a Dewitt Meshell bred cow sired by Clasico Don Juan out of the cow MF Explosive 508. She throws big bodied calves with good horn. (2nd pic from bottom) D&M's 382 sired by Sage Shadow out of the cow CP Josefina 946/6 BD-4/09/99. D&M was the Grand Champion All Age Non Haltered Female at the recent 12th Annual MLA Qualifying Show in Eldon, Iowa. Charlie says she is fancy and has a gentle dispostion. (Bottom pic) Miss Dixie 64-BD 4/01/94 sired by Dixie Red 13 out of the cow Miss Dixie 61. Typical old time Butler cow, gentle and raised a nice heifer in 2007.
